AMC has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming eighth season of its hit original drama series The Walking Dead. The cable channel has also set a return date for the third season of Fear the Walking Dead.
Season 8 of The Walking Dead - which kicks off with the 100th episode of the series - will premiere on Sunday, October 22 at 9/8c.
The drama stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Alanna Masterson, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Katelyn Nacon, Austin Amelio, Tom Payne, Xander Berkeley, Steven Ogg, Pollyanna McIntosh and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Executive producers are Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Gale Anne Hurd.
Fear the Walking Dead will return for the second half of its third season on Sunday, September 10 at 9/8c.
The drama stars Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Mercedes Mason, Rubén Blades, Colman Domingo, Danay García, Daniel Sharman, Sam Underwood, Dayton Callie and Lisandra Tena.
Executive producers are Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Gale Anne Hurd.
