Casting News - Shaun Toub & Jay Hernandez Join 'Scandal'; 'The Good Fight' Adds Audra McDonald; Plus 4 More Updates!

ABC's Once Upon a Time & Scandal; CBS All Access' The Good Fight; The CW's Legends of Tomorrow; NBC's AP Bio; and Showtime's Melrose.





ABC's SCANDAL
  • Shaun Toub (Homeland) and Jay Hernandez (Bad Moms) have been cast in recurring roles on the drama's upcoming seventh and final season. Like most casting on the show, no details were immediately released about the characters they will be playing.
ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME
  • Emma Booth (Underbelly, Gods of Egypt) has booked a major recurring role on the drama's upcoming seventh season. She will play The Witch, who is as wicked as they come.
CBS ALL ACCESS' THE GOOD FIGHT
  • After recurring throughout the first season, Michael Boatman and Nyambi Nyambi have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming second season. Boatman plays Julius Cane, a lawyer at the firm who made waves after announcing his conservative politics. Nyambi plays Jay, the in-house investigator and mentor to Marissa (Sarah Steele).
  • It was also announced today that Tony winner Audra McDonald (Private Practice) has joined the drama as a new series regular. She played United States attorney Liz Lawrence in a Season 4 episode of The Good Wife. Now, the character will be revealed as the ex-wife of Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo), with whom she has several unresolved issues.
SHOWTIME's MELROSE
  • Girls star Allison Williams will appear in the upcoming miniseries starring Benedict Cumberbatch. She will play Marianne, an acquaintance who Patrick (Cumberbatch) encounters during his playboy years in New York.
NBC's AP BIO
  • Jean Villepique (Sharp Objects, Veep) has landed a series regular role on the upcoming comedy starring Glenn Howerton. She will play Michelle, a fellow teacher at Whitlock High. She loves to be silly and get a little wild with Mary (Mary Sohn) and Stef (Lyric Lewis). The three of them will party hard with Jack (Howerton) and then turn around and give him honest advice.
THE CW's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
  • Mistresses alum Jes Macallan is set for a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Special Agent Ava Sharpe, a hard-working agent for a secret branch of the Federal Government (the Time Bureau) dedicated to the regulation of time-travel and the protection of history. She is very smart and incredibly ambitious and always believes she is the smartest person in the room. She is often quite ruthless in obtaining her goals and her drive for perfection has left many discarded friendships (and relationships) in her wake.
