Casting News - Scott Glenn Boards 'Castle Rock' as Series Regular; 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Adds Josh Groban; Plus 6 More Updates!

ABC's Quantico; The CW's Arrow & Crazy Ex-Girlfriend; FOX's The Exorcist; Hulu's Castle Rock & Runaways; NBC's Taken; and Showtime's SMILF.





HULU's CASTLE ROCK
  • Scott Glenn (The Leftovers, The Defenders) has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming drama starring André Holland and Sissy Spacek. He will play Alan Pangborn, a retired sheriff who presided over some of the darkest years in Castle Rock's checkered history. The character is a Stephen King icon at the center of Needful Things and The Dark Half.
THE CW's CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND
  • Josh Groban (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) will guest star in an upcoming episode of the comedy's third season. He will play a mysterious and helpful stranger. He will also sing in his episode.
NBC's TAKEN
  • Adam Goldberg (Fargo, The Jim Gaffigan Show) has landed a series regular role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Kilroy, a gray hat hacker and tech elitist who is eccentric and intelligent with a droll sense of humor.
ABC's QUANTICO
  • Russell Tovey is set to return to the drama for its upcoming third season as a series regular. He joined the drama at the start of the second season but his character had an abrupt exit near the end of the season that left Tovey's future on the series up-in-the-air. But now, it's confirmed that his character, Harry Doyle, will return to the main story.
THE CW's ARROW
  • 12 Monkeys star Kirk Acevedo has joined the drama's upcoming sixth season in a major recurring role. He will play Ricardo Diaz, a hardened ex-con recently released from prison for crimes he didn't commit. He is bent on taking over Star City's criminal underworld. A master in hand-to-hand combat honed by years of life on the streets, Diaz has yet to meet a foe he can't take down.
SHOWTIME's SMILF
  • Austin Abrams (The Walking Dead) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming comedy created by and starring Frankie Shaw. He will play Casey, Ally's (Connie Britton) son who attends Harvard and is a former student of Bridgette's (Shaw).
HULU's RUNAWAYS
  • Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon has joined the cast of the upcoming drama from Marvel. He will play Jonah, a pivotal player in the main characters' rebellion against their parents. All other details about the character are being kept under wraps.
FOX's THE EXORCIST
  • Christopher Cousins (Breaking Bad) and Cyrus Arnold (Zoolander 2) have landed recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Cousins will play Peter Morrow, a local investigator with U.S. Fish and Wildlife and a family friend of Andrew's (John Cho). Arnold will play David "Truck" Johnson III, one of Andrew's foster kids. He's big for his age so people treat him like an adult, but he still thinks and acts like a child.
