Netflix Orders Comedy 'The Kominsky Method' Starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin

Over a week before the streaming service debuts the prolific writer's new comedy Disjointed, Netflix is teaming with Chuck Lorre for another comedy - The Kominsky Method starring Oscar winners Michael Douglas (Wall Street) and Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine).





The comedy stars Douglas as Sandy Kominsky, an actor who years ago had a brief fling with success and is now a revered Hollywood acting coach. Arkin plays his long-suffering agent and friend, Norman.

Chuck Lorre created the single camera comedy. He will executive produce with Douglas. Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions produces.

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes for the first season.

The series order comes ahead of the launch of Disjointed starring Kathy Bates on Friday, August 25. It also means that Lorre will now have five series on the air - The Kominsky Method, Disjointed, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and Mom
