Ahead of Sunday's midseason finale, CBS All Access has today announced the return date for the first season of its original drama series Star Trek: Discovery.
The streaming service split the first season into two halves - with the first including nine episodes and the second including six episodes. The second half will begin on Sunday, January 7 at 8:30/7:30c. with the season finale airing on Sunday, February 11. The drama has already been renewed for a second season.
The drama stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman and Jason Isaacs. Guest stars in the first season include Michelle Yeoh, Wilson Cruz and Rainn Wilson.
Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman developed the drama. They executive produce with Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts, Akiva Goldsman, Eugene Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Heather Kadin. CBS Television Studios, Living Dead Guy Productions, Roddenberry Entertainment and Secret Hideout produce.
