FOX Sets Premiere Dates for 'The X-Files' and '9-1-1'

FOX has today announced premiere dates for the upcoming eleventh season of The X-Files and the series debut of 9-1-1.







Both dramas will premiere on Wednesday, January 3 - with the new season of The X-Files starting at 8/7c. followed by the series debut of 9-1-1 at 9/8c.

The eleventh season of The X-Files will feature ten episodes. Two will be mythology based while the remaining eight will be standalone installments.

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi return as the stars of the new season. Guest stars include William B. Davis, Annabeth Gish, Lauren Ambrose, Robbie Amell, Barbara Hershey and Haley Joel Osment.

Chris Carter returns as executive producer and showrunner. Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong also returned to write new episodes.

9-1-1 is a fast-paced exploration into the lives and careers of first responders - cops, paramedics, firefighters - the people who put their lives on the line to save others.

The drama stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Connie Britton, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Rockmond Dunbar and Oliver Stark.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk created the drama. They executive produce with showrunner Tim Minear and director Bradley Buecker. 20th Century Fox Television, Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision produce.
