VH1 Cancels 'Daytime Divas' After One Season

VH1 has opted to cancel its original drama series Daytime Divas after one season. The drama wrapped its 10-episode first and only season on July 31, 2017.

The drama starred Vanessa Williams, Chloe Bridges, Camille Guaty, Fiona Gubelmann, McKinley Freeman and Tichina Arnold.

Amy and Wendy Engelberg created the drama. They executive produced with Star Jones, Josh Berman, Chris Alberghini, Mike Chessler, Suzanne DePasse, Madison Jones and Susan Levison. Sony Pictures Television, Osprey Productions and De Passe Jones Entertainment produced.

The cancellation today means that VH1 no longer has any scripted series. Previous dramas Hit the Floor and The Breaks (which aired three and one seasons on the network, respectively) will return on corporate sibling BET next year.
