Casting News - Derek Jacobi Boards 'Good Omens'; Andrew Gower & Jamie Harris Join 'Carnival Row'; Plus 1 More Update!

Amazon's Carnival Row & Good Omens; and Showtime's The Affair.






AMAZON's CARNIVAL ROW
  • Andrew Gower and Jamie Harris have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming drama created by Rene Echevarria. They join Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Karla Crome, Indira Varma and Tamzin Merchant.
  • Gower (Outlander, Black Mirror) will play Ezra Spurnrose, the scion of one of the most prominent families in the Burgue. When a business deal sours, he finds himself under financial straights and reluctantly agrees, at his sister Imogen's (Merchant) behest, to enter into a partnership a wealthy Puck who has moved in across the street. When he begins to suspect that Imogen is falling in love with the Puck, Ezra will stop at nothing to protect his family's reputation.
  • Harris (Shameless, Kingdom) will play Desk Sergeant Dombey, a tough police officer in the city who strongly believes in the old rule of life and resents the growing influx of foreign fairies and pix.
AMAZON's GOOD OMENS
  • Derek Jacobi has been tapped to play a pivotal role on the upcoming miniseries adaptation of the novel written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. He joins a cast that includes Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Michael McKean, Mireille Enos and Jon Hamm.
  • Jacobi (Cyrano de Bergerac, Twelfth Night) will play Metatron, aka the Voice of God. In the novel, Metatron is described as "The Voice of God. But not the voice of God. An entity in its own right. Rather like a Presidential spokesman."
SHOWTIME's THE AFFAIR
  • Amy Irving and Phoebe Tonkin will guest star in the upcoming fourth season of the drama created by Sarah Treem. 
  • Irving - an Academy Award nominee for Yentl - will play Nan Perino, a sculptress from Morro Bay, California. She has a mysterious connection to Cole's (Joshua Jackson) father.
  • Tonkin (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals) will play Daphne, Nan's protégé who guides Cole through his quest for answers.
