AMC has announced a premiere date for its upcoming original drama series The Terror starring Jared Harris (Mad Men), Tobias Menzies (Outlander) and Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones).
The 10-episode drama will begin with a two-hour premiere on Monday, March 26 at 9/8c.
Inspired by a true story, the drama centers on the Royal Navy's perilous voyage into unchartered territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other.
The drama stars Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies, Ciarán Hinds, Paul Ready, Adam Nagaitis, Nive Nielsen, Ian Hart and Trystan Gravelle.
David Kajganich and Soo Hugh developed the drama. They executive produce with Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert and Guymon Casady. AMC Studios, Scott Free Productions and Emjag Productions produce.
