- Emmy winner Michael J. Fox has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's second season. He is known for his starring roles in Back to the Future, Family Ties and Spin City as well as his recurring roles on Rescue Me, The Good Wife and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
- He will play Ethan West, a high-flying and connected Washington attorney who is hired by the President's Cabinet and ultimately appointed as special prosecutor to investigate former President Cornelius Moss' (Geoff Pierson) alleged leak of classified information. He is a hyper-competitive, wily and relentless lawyer who plays his cards close to the vest and whose only allegiance is to his mandate - a single-mindedness that makes him an unpredictable and formidable adversary for President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland).
