After airing only four episodes, Freeform has renewed its original comedy series Grown-ish for a second season. The new season will include 20 episodes, up from the 13 of the first season.
The comedy stars Yara Shahidi, Deon Cole, Trevor Jackson, Emily Arlook, Francia Raisa, Jordan Buhat, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Luka Sabbat and Chris Parnell.
Kenya Barris and Larry Wilmore created the spinoff of Black-ish. They executive produce with Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Brian Dobbins, Helen Sugland, Julie Bean, Paul Young, Peter Principato and Tom Russo. ABC Signature, Cinema Gypsy Productions, Khalabo Ink Society and Principato-Young Entertainment produce.
The renewal comes after Grown-ish launched as the highest rated comedy on the cable network since 2012.
