Paramount Sets Premiere Dates for 'American Woman,' 'Heathers' and 'Yellowstone'

During its first presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, Paramount Network announced premiere dates for a trio of scripted programs - American Woman, Heathers and Yellowstone.

New season-long anthology series Heathers - based on the film of the same name - will premiere on Wednesday, March 7 at 10/9c.

Set in the present day, "good girl" Veronica Sawyer deals with a very different but equally vicious group of "Heathers." Heather Chandler is the unconventional leader of this popular high school clique and rules Westerburg High through fear, intimidation and amazing fashion sense. Heather Duke is the #1 sidekick and harnesses the Heather's power to destroy whoever he views as a total discount hobgoblin. Heather McNamara is considered the nicest Heather in the group who lives in the shadow of the others. She's hiding a dark secret that she doesn't want to be exposed. JD Dean is the new boy in town with a dark side and sets out on a reckless path of destruction proving that no one, even his girlfriend Veronica is safe.

The cast includes Grace Victoria Cox, Melanie Field, Brendan Scannell, Jasmine Mathews and James Scully.

Guest stars in the first season include Shannen Doherty, Selma Blair and Casey Wilson.

Jason Micallef developed the anthology series. He executive produces with Gary Lucchesi, Brad Gardener and director Leslye Headland. Lakeshore Entertainment produces.

The 12-episode first season of new comedy American Woman will debut on Thursday, June 7 at 10/9c.

Inspired by the real-life upbringing of Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), the series follows Bonnie, an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in 1970s Los Angeles. Bonnie also comes to rely on the help of her two best friends, Kathleen and Diana, as they each discover their own brand of independence in a glamorous and ever-changing world reluctant to give it.

The comedy stars Alicia Silverstone, Mena Suvari, Jennifer Bartels, Makenna James, Lia Ryan McHugh and Cheyenne Jackson.

John Wells is an executive producer and the showrunner for the first season. Richards serves as a co-executive producer. Warner Horizon Television and John Wells productions produce.

New drama Yellowstone will premiere on Wednesday, June 20 at 9/8c.

The series follows John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders - land developers, an Indian reservation, and America's first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny - where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world's largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.

The drama stars Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Dave Annable, Danny Huston, Gil Birmingham, Josh Lucas, Jefferson White, Gretchen Mol, Jill Hennessey, Patrick St. Esprit, Ian Bohen, Heather Hemmons and Denim Richards.

Taylor Sheridan wrote and directed the drama. He executive produces with Costner, John Linson and Art Linson.
