During its presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, The CW announced premiere dates for four of its original scripted series - The 100, iZombie, Life Sentence and The Originals.
Monday, February 26

9PM: The Originals (Season 5 Premiere)

It should be noted that Jane the Virgin is only producing 17 episodes for its current fourth season - which is set to end on Friday, April 13. It was also announced today that Rosario Dawson (Daredevil, Luke Cage) will appear in a recurring role in the second half of the season.
The move for Dynasty comes as the drama has really struggled in the ratings. It was picked up for a full 22-episode season - unlike fellow freshman entry Valor which will wrap its run later this month. But the ratings have consistently been low. Nonetheless, Nicollette Sheridan is set to appear later in the season in the iconic role of Alexis Carrington.
The CW's schedule also means that Supergirl, The Originals and The 100 will be airing originals well into the summer.
