Amazon has today renewed its original anthology series Lore for a second season. Production will begin in April for a debut later in 2018.
Adapted from the podcast of the same name, the series explores the real-life frightening and disturbing tales that give rise to modern-day myths and legends. Season 2 will feature new tales from the podcast, as well as original stories not yet available in podcast form. Each episode will feature new actors. It will continue to feature narration, archive footage and animation to complement the filmed segments.
Sean Crouch (The Exorcist) has been tapped to serve as the new showrunner for the second season. he will executive produce with Gale Anne Hurd, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Brett-Patrick Jenkins, Jon Halperin and Mark Mannucci. Amazon Studios, Valhalla Entertainment and Propagate Content produce.
