In yet another competitive situation, Apple has handed out a 10-episode, straight-to-series order to an untitled project from Academy Award-nominated director M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Split).
The logline for the half-hour psychological thriller is being kept under wraps.
Tony Basgallop (24: Live Another Day, Outcast) created the series, with Shyamalan set to direct the premiere. They will executive produce with Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black and Steve Tisch. Taylor Lathan is a co-executive producer. Blinding Edge Pictures and Escape Artists will produce.
