Starz Renews 'Power' for Season 6

Months ahead of the drama's return for its fifth season, Starz has renewed its original drama series Power for a sixth season.







The premium cable channel also announced today that the fifth season will premiere on Sunday, July 1 at 9/9c. Executive producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will also direct the Season 6 premiere - a first for the rapper-actor.

The drama stars Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, Shane Johnson, J.R. Ramirez, Rotimi Akinosho, David Fumero, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Michael Rainey Jr., Jerry Ferrara, La La Anthony, Matt Cedeño, William Sadler and Sung Kang.

Courtney Kemp Agboh created the drama. She executive produces with Jackson, David Knoller, Mark Canton and Randall Emmett. CBS Television Studios, G-Unit Film & Television, Atmosphere Television, Mawuli Productions and End of Episode produce.
