Audience Network has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series Mr. Mercedes.
The 10-episode second season will premiere on Wednesday, August 22 at 10/9c.
The new episodes take place a year after Brady Hartsfield's thwarted attempt to perpetrate a second mass murder in the community of Bridgton, Ohio. Since the incident, Brady has been hospitalized in a vegetative state. Retired Detective Bill Hodges has done his best to move on from his Brady obsession, teaming up with Holly Gibney to open Finders Keepers, a private investigative agency. But when unexplainable occurrences begin to affect hospital staff members attending to Brady, Hodges is haunted by the feeling that Brady is somehow responsible.
The returning cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Harry Treadaway, Jharrel Jerome, Scott Lawrence, Breeda Wool, Justine Lupe, Nancy Travis and Holland Taylor.
New cast additions include Jack Huston, Tessa Ferrer and Maximiliano Hernandez.
David E. Kelley and Dennis Lehane are once again writing the new season, with Jack Bender directing. They executive produce with Stephen King, Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Tom Lesinski and Jenna Santoianni. Sonar Entertainment and Temple Hill Entertainment produce.
