OWN has given a straight-to-series order to the original drama Ambitions executive produced by Will Packer, who is under a first-look development deal at the cable network. The drama will begin production later this year for a premiere in 2019.
The drama is a multigenerational family saga. Having recently relocated and intent on revitalizing her marriage, one woman finds herself going head to head with some of the most powerful and deceitful players in the city.
Jamey Giddens created the drama and will co-executive producer. Executive producers are Will Packer and Sheila Ducksworth. Lionsgate Television, Debmar-Mercury and Will Packer Media produce.
