ABC Picks Up 'The Fix,' 'Grand Hotel,' 'The Kids Are Alright,' 'Single Parents' and 'Whiskey Cavalier' to Series

ABC has today given a series order to three dramas - The Fix, Grand Hotel and Whiskey Cavalier - as well as two comedies - The Kids Are Alright and Single Parents.






The Fix - After losing the biggest case of her career and being shredded by the media, former prosecutor Maya Travis has left Los Angeles for a quiet life in rural Oregon. Eight years later, the murderer strikes again, forcing Maya to return to Los Angeles to confront him one more time. Will she play by the rules or will she do whatever it takes to get him behind bars?

The drama stars Robin Tunney, Adam Rayner, Breckin Meyer, Merrin Dungey, Mouzam Makkar, Scott Cohen, Marc Blucas, Alex Saxon and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Elizabeth Craft, Sara Fain and Marcia Clark wrote the pilot, which was directed by Larysa Kondracki. They executive produce with David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks. ABC Studios and Mandeville Television produce.


Grand Hotel - A soapy drama set against the backdrop of a Miami Beach hotel, centering around the family who owns the business, the staff who run it, and the explosive secrets they hide under the perfect exterior.

The drama stars Demián Bichir, Roselyn Sanchez, Denyse Tontz, Chris Warren, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Shalim Ortiz, Anne Winters, Bryan Craig, Lincoln Younes, Felix Ramirez and Justina Adorno.

Brian Tanen wrote the pilot, which was directed by Ken Olin. They executive produce with Eva Longoria, Ben Spector, Oliver Bachert and Christian Gockel. ABC Studios, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment and Beta Film produce.


The Kids Are Alright - Set in the 1970s, an Irish-Catholic family with a working-class dad, traditional mom and eight boisterous sons navigate changes big and small during one of America's most turbulent decades.

The comedy stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Foote, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Sawyer Barth, Andy Walken, Santino Barnard and Kennedy Lea Slocum.

Tim Doyle wrote the pilot, which was directed by Randall Einhorn. ABC Studios produces.



Single Parents - A group of dysfunctional single parents lean on each other as they raise their kids, look for love, and ultimately realize survival is only possible with the help of each other.

The comedy stars Taran Killam, Leighton Meester, Jake Choi, Kimrie Lewis, Marlow Barkley, Tyler Wladis, Devin Campbell, Sadie Hazelett, Grace Hazelett and Brad Garrett.

J.J. Philbin and Elizabeth Meriwether wrote the pilot, which was directed by Jason Winer. They executive produce with Katherine Pope. 20th Century Fox Television produces.


Whiskey Cavalier - Following an emotional break-up, FBI agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) is assigned to work with CIA operative Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune). Together, they lead an inter-agency team of spies who periodically save the world (and each other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendships, romance and office politics.

The drama stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams and Vir Das.

Dave Hemingson wrote the pilot, which was directed by Peter Atencio. They executive produce with Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold. Foley is a producer. Warner Bros. Television and Doozer Productions produce.
