Development News - Regina King Reunites with Damon Lindelof for HBO Drama Pilot 'Watchmen'

  • Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard will star in the drama pilot based on the comic book series of the same name. No details were immediately released about the characters they will be playing on the pilot written by Damon Lindelof.
  • King starred for five seasons in TNT's Southland, three seasons in ABC's American Crime, two seasons in HBO's The Leftovers and the Netflix limited series Seven Seconds. Her casting serves as a Leftovers reunion with Lindelof.
  • Johnson recently starred in the FOX comedy pilot Daddy Issues which is still in consideration for a midseason pickup. He previously starred in five seasons of NBC's Miami Vice and six seasons in CBS' Nash Bridges.
  • Nelson's film credits include O Brother, Where Are Thou?, Holes, Syriana and The Incredible Hulk. He next has a starring role in the Netflix anthology series The Ballad of Buster Scruggs from the Coen Brothers.
  • Gossett Jr. won an Emmy Award for his performance in 1977's Roots and an Academy Award in 1982 for the film An Officer and a Gentleman.
  • Clemens starred for four seasons in SundanceTV's Rectify.
  • Howard starred in the History miniseries Hatfields & McCoys and has recurred on A&E's Bates Motel and ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
