Netflix Announces Premiere Date for New Animated Comedy 'Disenchantment'

Netflix has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original animated comedy series Disenchantment created by Matt Groening.







The 10-episode first season will debut in its entirety on the streaming service on Friday, August 17. The series has already been renewed for a second season of 10 episodes.

Set in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, the series follows the misadventures of hard-drinking princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo and her personal demon Luci. Over the season, they will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses and lots of human fools.

The voice cast includes Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, Eric Andre, John DiMaggo, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery.

Groening executive produces with Josh Weinstein. The ULULU Company produces for Netflix. The animation is done by Rough Draft Studios.
