Gillian Anderson and Asa Butterfield to Star in Netflix's Upcoming Dramedy 'Sex Education'

Emmy winner Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, Hannibal, American Gods) and Asa Butterfield (Huge, Ender's Game) will star in Netflix's upcoming original dramedy series Sex Education. The series is produced in the UK, with the episodes debuting in 2019.





The series follows Otis Thompson (Butterfield), a socially awkward high school virgin who lives with his mother (Anderson), an uninhibited sex therapist. He teams up with whip-smart bad-girl Maeve to set up an underground sex therapy clinic at his high school to deal with their fellow students' weird and wonderful problems.

The cast also includes Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells and Kedar Williams-Stirling.

Laurie Nunn created the dramedy. She executive produces with Jamie Campbell, Joel Wilson and director Ben Taylor. Eleven Films produces.
