The CW Orders 'All American,' 'Charmed,' 'In the Dark,' 'Legacies' and 'Roswell, New Mexico' to Series

The CW has today given series orders to five of its pilots - All American (formerly known as Spencer), Charmed, In the Dark, Legacies and Roswell, New Mexico.






All American - When a high school football player from South Central L.A. is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High, the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds - Compton and Beverly Hills - begin to collide.

The drama stars Daniel Ezra, Samantha Logan, Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Monet Mazur, Michael Evans Behling, Cody Christian, Karimah Westbrook and Taye Diggs.

April Blair wrote the pilot, which was directed by Rob Hardy. They executive produce with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. Robbie Rogers is a producer. Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions produce.

Charmed - Three sisters in a college town discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy and maintaining familial bonds, a witch's work is never done. Reboot of the 1998-2006 drama.

The drama stars Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Ser'Darius Blain, Rupert Evans, Charlie Gillespie and Ellen Tamaki.

Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin wrote the pilot, which was directed by Brad Silberling. They executive produce with Jennie Snyder Urman and Ben Silverman. CBS Television Studios produces.

In the Dark - A flawed and irreverent blind woman is the only "witness" to the slaying of her drug-dealing friend. After the police dismiss her story, she sets out with her dog, Pretzel, to find the killer while also maintaining her colorful dating life and the job she hates at Breaking Blind - the guide dog school owned by her overprotective parents.

The drama stars Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Markham, Keston John, Kathleen York, Derek Webster and Austin Nichols.

Corinne Kingsbury wrote the pilot, which was directed by Michael Showalter. They executive produce with Ben Stiller, Jackie Cohn and Nicky Weinstock. CBS Television Studios and Red Hour Films produce.

Legacies - Spinoff of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. The story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Klaus Mikaelson's daughter, 17-year-old Hope; Alaric Saltzman's twins, Lizzie and Josie; and other young adults come of age in the most unconventional ways possible, nurtured to be their best selves - in spirt of their worst impulses. Will these young witches, vampires and werewolves become the heroes they want to be - or the villains they were born to be?

The drama stars Danielle Rose Russell, Aria Shahghasemi, Quincy Fouse, Jenny Boyd, Kaylee Bryant and Matt Davis.

Roswell, New Mexico - After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: he's an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance. Reboot of the 1999-2002 drama.

The drama stars Jeanine Mason, Nathan Parsons, Tyler Blackburn, Lily Cowles, Michael Vlamis, Heather Hemmens, Michael Trevino, Trevor St. John and Karan Oberoi.
