NBC has once again decided to cancel its original drama series Timeless. The drama will not be returning for a third season. However, it's also being rumored that the studio and network are continuing talks to produce a two-hour movie to wrap up the finale cliffhanger and bring closure to the fans.
The drama starred Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, Claudia Doumit and Goran Visnjic.
Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan created the drama. They executive produced with Arika Lisanne Mittman, Tom Smuts, John Davis, John Fox, Marney Hochman and Neil Marshall. Universal Television, Sony Pictures Television, Davis Entertainment, Kripke Enterprises and MiddKid Productions produced.
The second season of the drama averaged a 1.2 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and nearly 5 million total viewers with seven days of delayed viewing.
