Netflix Picks Up 'Lucifer' for Season 4

A month after FOX cancelled the drama after three seasons, Netflix has officially stepped in to save Lucifer. The streaming service will produce a fourth season of the drama, which saw an outpouring of support from the fans after its cancellation.

In its third season, the drama stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, Rachael Harris, Tricia Helfer, Aimee Garcia and Tom Welling.

Tom Kapinos created the drama. He executive produces with Len Wiseman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Ildy Modrovich, Jonathan Littman and Joe Henderson. Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment and Jerry Bruckheimer Television produced.

The drama averaged a 1.3 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 5 million total viewers during its third season according to Live+7 numbers.

Netflix has frequently become a focal point for "Save Our Show" campaigns over the last few years. Before today's news though, the last time Netflix saved a show from cancellation was Longmire in November 2014.
