Amazon Announces Premiere Dates for 'Lore' and 'Homecoming'

Amazon has today announced premiere dates for the upcoming second season of anthology series Lore and the series debut of the original drama series Homecoming.






The six-episode second season of episodic anthology Lore will debut on Friday, October 19.

The series is based on the hit podcast, which tells the stories of real-life scary events that have influenced modern myths and legends. The new season will feature new tales from the podcast, plus new ones that haven't yet been heard.

Sean Crouch serves as the showrunner for the second season. He executive produces with Gale Anne Hurd, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Brett-Patrick Jenkins, Jon Halperin and Mark Mannucci. Amazon Studios, Valhalla Entertainment and Propagate Content produce.


The 10-episode first season of Homecoming will premiere on Friday, November 2. The series has already been renewed for a second season.

Based on the podcast of the same name, the drama is a psychological and political thriller that centers on a caseworker at a secret government facility and a soldier eager to rejoin civilian life.

The drama stars Julia Roberts, Stephen James, Alex Karpovsky, Shea Whigham, Dermot Mulroney and Bobby Cannavale.

Recurring guest stars in the first season include Hong Chau, Jeremy Allen White, Sydney Poitier, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Brooke Bloom, Ayden Mayeri, Jacob Pitts, Fran Kranz and Sissy Spacek.

Eli Horowtiz and Micah Bloomberg developed the drama. They executive produce with Roberts, Chad Hamilton, Alicia Van Couvering, Chris Giliberti, Alex Blumberg, Matt Lieber and director Sam Esmail. Universal Cable Productions, Anonymous Content and Gimlet Media produce.
