ABC's FRESH OFF THE BOAT
  • Ming-Na Wen, Reggie Lee and Jimmy O. Yang have been cast in recurring roles on the comedy's upcoming fifth season. Wen has starred for five seasons in ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Lee starred for six seasons in NBC's Grimm. Yang has starred for four seasons in HBO's Silicon Valley and also appeared in the film Crazy Rich Asians opposite Constance Wu.
  • Wen will play Elaine, a Chinese-American woman with a smart sense of humor who's everything Jessica (Wu) could dream of in a Chinese BFF. They seem to have a million things in common, and Elaine earns the nickname "Chinese Oprah" for her ability to give wonderful advice.
  • Lee will play Julius, a Chinese-American man who genuinely loves steak, apple pie, the Dallas Cowboys and other all-American things. Louis (Randall Park) and him bond quickly, but their new friendship is put to the test by an old buddy of Louis'.
  • Yang will play Horace, Elaine and Julius' son, a talented, affable artist who skipped two grades and went to Harvard at age 16 on a full scholarship. His amazing résumé wins Jessica's adoration until he reveals some secrets from his past.
EPIX's GODFATHER OF HARLEM

  • She will play Elise, Bumpy's (Whitaker) mixed race, drug-addicted daughter. A lost soul who suffered for her father's neglect and will forever be his Achilles' heel. She has many gifts - an agile mind, a lithe beauty - and just as many defects - dishonesty and selfishness that grip her to the core. Bumpy is raising Elise's daughter Margaret as his own, but one day Elise will want Margaret back. More than anything, she wants a family. And she will find one... in Malcolm X's Nation of Islam.
