NBC Orders 5 Additional Episodes of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

NBC has even more good news for fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Today, the broadcast network announced that it has ordered five additional episodes of the upcoming sixth season - bringing its total to 18 episodes.

NBC rescued the comedy just one day after it was cancelled by FOX earlier this year. The new season was slated for a midseason debut, which is still the plan as well despite the increased episode order.

The comedy stars Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller and Andre Braugher.

Dan Goor and Michael Schur created the comedy. They executive produce with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, David Miner and Luke Del Tredici. Universal Television, 3 Arts Entertainment, Dr. Good Productions and Fremulon produce.
