NETFLIX's THE WITCHER
- Production has begun today on the upcoming drama created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich based on the fantasy book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. The streaming service has provided a first look of Henry Cavill in the lead role of Geralt of Rivia.
- Furthermore, the drama has rounded out its cast today. Joining the production are Eamon Farren as Cahir, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Maciej Musiał as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara, Anna Shaffer as Triss, Rebecca Benson as Marilka, Shane Attwooll as Nohorn, Luke Neal as Vyr, Matthew Neal as Nimir, Tobi Bamtefa as Danek, Sonny Serkis as Martin, Roderick Hill as Fletcher, Inge Beckmann as Aridea, Charlotte O'Leary as Tiffania, Natasha Culzac as Toruviel, Amit Shah as Torque and Tom Canton as Filavandrel.
BET's BOOMERANG
- Brittany Inge, Joey BadA$$ and Kimberly Hall have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming sequel series to the film of the same name. Inge's guest credits include The CW's Dynasty, FX's Atlanta and Starz's Survivor's Remorse. BadA$$ has had a recurring role on USA's Mr. Robot. This marks Hall's first television role.
- Inge will play Crystal Garrett, a type-A southern belle. She works in advertising with Bryson (Tequan Richmond) and is one of Simone's (Tetona Jackson) best friends. She can be buttoned up, but she always speaks her mind. She was married to David (RJ Walker) when she was younger.
- BadA$$ will play Camden Knight, a gorgeous, edgy and sexy musician. The only innocent thing about him is his smile.
- Hall will play Rocky, a lesbian with a dominant personality who is very protective of her girlfriend Tia (Lala Milan) and her career.
ABC's BLACK-ISH
- Quvenzhané Wallis has booked a recurring role on the comedy's fifth season. She received an Academy Award nomination at the age of 9 for her debut performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild. She then played the title role in the remake of Annie. Her casting here marks her first television role.
- She will play Kyra, Dre's (Anthony Anderson) young cousin who comes to stay with the family for awhile after her mom can't take care of her.
HBO's EUPHORIA
- Algee Smith and Austin Abrams have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Zendaya. Smith starred in the BET limited series The New Edition Story and The Bobby Brown Story. Austins has recurred on FX's The Americans and AMC's The Walking Dead. He also plays the lead role in the Hulu drama pilot Less Than Zero.
- Smith will play McKay. He replaces Brian "Astro" Bradley, who played the role in the original pilot.
- Abrams will play Ethan.
