CBS Gives Full Season Orders to 'God Friended Me,' 'Magnum P.I.' and 'The Neighborhood'

CBS has today made decisions on three of its freshman series. It has ordered additional episodes of comedy The Neighborhood and dramas Magnum P.I. and God Friended Me. Exact episode counts were not initially announced. However, the pickups are said to be between seven and nine episodes for each.




God Friended Me, Magnum P.I. and The Neighborhood join FBI in getting additional episode orders from CBS this fall. The network has not yet made a decision on fellow freshman comedy Happy Together. Moreover, the Murphy Brown revival will cap its season at 13 episodes, as was the plan when it was first ordered.

God Friended Me stars Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane, Javicia Leslie, Suraj Sharma and Joe Morton.

Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt created the drama. They executive produce with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Marcos Siega. Warner Bros. Television, CBS Television Studios, Berlanti Productions and I Have an Idea Productions produce.

Magnum P.I. stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Amy Hill and Tim Kang.

Peter M. Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim developed the drama. They executive produce with John Davis, John Fox, Justin Lin and Danielle Woodrow. CBS Television Studios, Universal Television, Davis Entertainment, Perfect Storm Entertainment and 101st Street Entertainment produce.

The Neighborhood stars Cedric the Entertainer, Max Greenfield, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, Hank Greenspan, Tichina Arnold and Beth Behrs.

Jim Reynolds created the comedy. He executive produces with Cedric the Entertainer, Eric C. Rhone, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling and Dana Honor. CBS Television Studios, Kapital Entertainment, Trill Television, A Bird and a Bear Entertainment and Mud, Blood & Beer Productions produce.
