- Sharon Gless has been cast on the drama pilot starring Elisabeth Shue. She starred for six seasons in CBS' Cagney & Lacey (where she won two Emmy Awards) and six seasons in USA's Burn Notice. She has recently recurred on FOX's The Exorcist and The Gifted.
- She will Raylynn, Constance's (Shue) mother, a tough-as-nails, bitingly witting former beauty queen who does her best to stave off the indignities of age but whose thick makeup and false eyelashes are starting to fail her. Boozy and irreverent, she is a loving and proud matriarch, despite her deeply complicated relationship with Constance.
