History has today announced the premiere date for its new original drama series Project Blue Book starring Game of Thrones alum Aidan Gillen.
The new drama will debut on Tuesday, January 8 at 10/9c.
Set in the 1950s and inspired by a real-life U.S. Air Force Cold War program, the series follows astronomer J. Allen Hynek (Gillen) and Captain Michael Quinn (The Vampire Diaries' Michael Malarkey) as they investigate UFOs and transform from skeptics to believers.
In addition to Gillen and Malarkey, the drama stars Laura Mennell, Ksenia Solo, Michael Harney and Neal McDonough.
David O'Leary created the drama, with Sean Jablonski serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jackie Levine and director Robert Stromberg. A+E Studios and Compari Entertainment produce.
