Casting News - November 21, 2018

Hulu's Four Weddings and a Funeral.

HULU's FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL
  • Nathalie Emmanuel has been tapped to replace Jessica Williams in the lead role of the upcoming anthology series created by Mindy Kaling and Matt Warburton. Furthermore, Andie MacDowell - who starred in the 1994 film of the same name that inspired the series - will guest star. Also joining the cast today are Brandon Mychal Smith, Zoe Boyle, Jennie Jacques, Harish Patel and Guz Khan.
  • Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) will play Maya, the young communications director for a New York senatorial campaign, who receives a wedding invitation from her college schoolmate now living in London. She leaves her professional and personal life behind in favor of traveling to England and reconnecting with old friends, and ends up in the midst of their personal crises. Relationships are forged and broken, political scandals exposed, London social life lampooned, love affairs ignited and doused and of course there are four weddings... and a funeral.
  • MacDowell will play Mrs. Howard, Ainsley's (Rebecca Rittenhouse) mother.
  • No details were immediately released about the characters to be played by Smith, Boyle, Jacques, Patel and Khan.
