Casting News - Steven Williams and Christina Kirkman Join 'Ambitions'; 'Pennyworth' Adds Polly Walker; Plus 3 More Updates!

Apple's Amazing Stories & Untitled M. Night Shyamalan Drama; The CW's Supergirl; Epix's Pennyworth; and OWN's Ambitions.

  • Steven Williams and Christina Kirkman have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Robin Givens. Williams has had recurring roles on Showtime's The Chi, HBO's The Leftovers, The CW's Supernatural and FOX's The X-Files. Kirkman was a performer for two seasons on Nickelodeon's All That.
  • Williams will play Stephen Carlisle, a powerful attorney and the father of Stephanie (Givens).
  • Kirkman will play Lori, a smart and challenging woman who works as a PR executive at Purifoy Pharmaceuticals.
  • Polly Walker has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Jack Bannon and Ben Aldridge. Her casting reunites her with Rome co-creator Bruno Heller, who serves as showrunner on the new drama. She starred for two seasons in the HBO drama, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
  • She will play Peggy Sykes, the sister of Bet Sykes (Paloma Faith). The sensible matriarch in a family of maniacs, she is fiercely loyal, endlessly resourceful and lives by her own strange but rigorous moral code.
  • Edward Burns, Kerry Bishé and Austin Stowell will appear in an upcoming episode of the anthology series reboot. Burns and Stowell previously starred together in TNT's one-season drama Public Morals, which Burns also created. Stowell next appears in the Hulu limited series Catch-22. Bishé starred for four seasons in AMC's Halt and Catch Fire and one season in Netflix's Narcos.
  • The episode will be directed by Mark Mylod (Game of Thrones) and star Burns as a government agent named Bill Kaminski. No additional details were released about the characters played by Bishé and Stowell.
  • Jessica Meraz has booked a recurring role on the drama's fourth season. She was a series regular on the final season of TNT's Major Crimes. She previously had a recurring role on ABC Family's Chasing Life.
  • She will play Pamela Ferrer aka Menagerie, a jewel thief who doesn't mind hurting people.
  • Toby Kebbell will play the male lead opposite Lauren Ambrose on the upcoming drama from M. Night Shyamalan. His film credits include War for the Planet of the Apes and Kong: Skull Island.
  • He will play Sean Turner, Dorothy's (Ambrose) husband and father to their newborn child. He is also a professional chef.
