Casting News - Christopher Meloni and Elizabeth Reaser to Appear on Hulu's 'The Handmaid's Tale'; Plus 2 More Updates!

Amazon's Fleabag; HBO's Watchmen; and Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale.

  • Christopher Meloni and Elizabeth Reaser will appear on the drama's upcoming third season. Meloni starred for twelve seasons in NBC's Law & Order: SVU, two seasons in Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer and two seasons in WGN America's Underground. He currently stars in Syfy's Happy!, which returns for its second season in March. Reaser starred in the first season of Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House. She has also recurred on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, HBO's True Detective, AMC's Mad Men and Discovery's Manhunt: Unabomber.
  • Meloni will play Commander Winslow, a powerful and magnetic commander who hosts Fred (Joseph Fiennes) and Serena Joy Waterford (Yvonne Strahovski) on an important trip.
  • Reaser will play Mrs. Winslow, Commander Winslow's wife who becomes a friend and inspiration to Serena Joy.
  • Kristin Scott Thomas and Fiona Shaw will guest star on the comedy's upcoming second season. Thomas received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in the 1996 film The English Patient. She recently appeared in the films Darkest Hour and Tomb Raider. Shaw is best known for her starring role in the Harry Potter film franchise. She currently stars in BBC America's Killing Eve, which was created by Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
  • No details were immediately released about the characters they will be playing.
  • Dustin Ingram has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Regina King, Jeremy Irons and Don Johnson. He has previously recurred on Syfy's The Magicians, HBO's True Blood, CMT's Sun Records and Freeform's Good Trouble.
  • As with all previous casting on the drama, no details were immediately released about the character he will be playing.
