Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series The Punisher.
All 13 episodes of the second season will debut on Friday, January 18.
In the new season, former marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl. As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as the Punisher.
The drama stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Giorgia Whigham, Josh Stewart and Floriana Lima.
Steve Lightfoot developed the drama based on the Marvel character. He executive produces with Jeph Loeb, Cindy Holland, ALlie Goss, Laura Delahaye, Kris Henigman, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Joe Quesada, Karim Zreik and Jim Chory. ABC Studios, Marvel Television and Bohemian Risk Productions produce.
