CBS Renews 'Mom' for Seasons 7 and 8

CBS has today renewed its original comedy series Mom for two additional seasons - its seventh and eighth overall. The renewal comes after series stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney closed new deals with Warner Bros. Television to star for both seasons.

In addition to Faris and Janney, the comedy stars Mimi Kennedy, Jaime Pressly, Beth Hall and William Fichtner.

Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky and Gemma Baker created the comedy. They executive produce with Nick Bakay and Warren Bell. Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions produce.

"We're exceptionally proud to have Mom on our air; a high-quality, signature comedy with characters viewers love, that also brings strength and stability to our lineup," said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. "Under Chuck Lorre's extraordinary leadership and with his outstanding writing and production team, we look to having Mom on CBS for many years to come."

"We're fortunate to have the gifted talents of Anna and Allison, with their wit, intelligence and incomparable comic skill, heading up such a brilliant cast on this noteworthy series," added Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming, CBS Entertainment.
