History Announces Premiere Date for Season 2 of 'Knightfall'

During its shared presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour with other A+E Networks, History announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series Knightfall.






The 8-episode second season will launch on Monday, March 25 at 10/9c.

With the historical and ruthless downfall of the Templar Order on the horizon, Season 2 focuses on themes such as power, redemption, revenge, betrayal, family and ultimately an epic war between church and state.

Mark Hamill (Star Wars) joins the cast as Talus, a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran and initiate master who is tasked with preparing the next generation of men to proudly wear the iconic red cross on their chests and become "God's Executioners."

The drama also stars Tom Cullen, Ed Stoppard, Pádraic Delaney, Simon Merrells, Julian Ovenden, Jim Carter, Genevieve Gaunt, Tom Forbes and Clementine Nicholson.

Don Handfield and Richard Rayner created the drama, with Aaron Helbing serving as showrunner for the second season. They executive produce with Jeremy Renner, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Cyrus Voris, Ethan Reiff, Rick Jacobson, Barry Jossen and Arturo Interian. A+E Studios, The Combine and Midnight Radio produce.
