WGN America Announces Premiere Date for Season 2 of 'Pure'

A day after its first season finale, WGN America has announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series Pure.

The drama will return for its second season on Tuesday, May 28 at 10/9c.

The new season picks up with Anna Funk (Alex Paxton-Beesley) going it alone after Noah (Ryan Robbins) disappeared for a year. In an attempt to shield her children from the family's involvement with the drug cartel, Anna finds herself in the very center of the drug ring she and Noah attempted to take down.

New additions for the second season include Alyson Hannigan, Christopher Heyerdahl, Zoie Palmer and Victor Gomez.

Michael Amo created the drama. He executive produces with Brett Burlock, Peter Emerson, David MacLeod and director Ken Girotti. Two East Productions and Cineflix produce in association with WGN America, Hulu and Canada's Super Channel.
