Hulu Reveals Premiere Dates for 'The Handmaid's Tale,' 'Ramy' and 'Catch-22'

During its presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour today, Hulu announced premiere dates for the third season of The Handmaid's Tale, new limited series Catch-22 and new comedy Ramy.

All 10 episodes of the new comedy Ramy will debut on Friday, April 19.

Ramy Youssef stars as Ramy Hassan, a first generation Egyptian-American who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. It explores the challenges of what it's like being caught between a Muslim community that thinks life is a moral test and a millennial generation that thinks life has no consequences.

The comedy also stars Mohammed Amer, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, David Merheje, Laith Nakli and Steve Way.

Youssef co-created the comedy with Ari Katcher and Ryan Welch. They executive produce with showrunner Bridget Bedard, Jerrod Carmichael and Ravi Nandan. A24 produces.

All six episodes of the limited series adaptation of Catch-22 will debut on Friday, May 17.

Based on the novel by Joseph Heller, the incomparable, artful dodger, Yossarian, a US Air Force bombardier in World War II, is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him. But his real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. Yet if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he'll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one's own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relived from duty.

The cast includes Christopher Abbott, Kyle Chandler, George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Giancarlo Giannini, Daniel David Stewart, Rafi Gavron, Austin Stowell, Graham Patrick Martin, Gerran Howell, Jon Rudnitsky, Kevin J. O'Connor, Pico Alexander, Tessa Ferrer, Lewis Pullman, Josh Bolt, Jay Paulson, Julie Ann Emery and Grant Heslov.

Luke Davies and David Michôd developed the series. They executive produce with Clooney, Heslov, Richard Brown and Steve Golin. Paramount Television, Anonymous Content and Smokehouse Pictures produce.

Clooney, Heslov and Ellen Kuras each directed two episodes of the series.

The 13-episode third season of The Handmaid's Tale will launch on Wednesday, June 5 with three episodes. The season will then release the remaining episodes weekly on every Wednesday.

The drama stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Amanda Brugel, Samira Wiley and Bradley Whitford.

Bruce Miller developed the drama based on the novel by Margaret Atwood. He executive produces with Moss, Warren Littlefield, Ilene Chaiken, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Eric Tuchman and Mike Barker. MGM Television, The Littlefield Company, Daniel Wilson Productions and White Oak Pictures produce.
