National Geographic Announces Premiere Date for Limited Series 'The Hot Zone' Starring Julianna Margulies

Ahead of its presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, National Geographic announced the premiere date for its upcoming original limited series The Hot Zone.






The new limited series will premiere on Memorial Day - Monday, May 27. It will air across three consecutive nights in two-hour blocks starting at 9/8c.

Based on Richard Preston's 1994 nonfiction novel, the series tracks the origins of the deadly Ebola virus and its arrival in a research lab outside of the nation's capital.

The cast includes Julianna Margulies, Noah Emmerich, Topher Grace, Liam Cunningham, James D'Arcy, Paul James, Nick Searcy, Robert Wisdom and Robert Sean Leonard.

Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson developed the series. They executive produce with Ridley Scott, Lynda Obst, Jeff Vintar and directors Michael Uppendahl and Nick Murphy. Fox 21 Television Studios, Scott Free Productions and Lynda Obst Productions produce.
