Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series Black Summer starring Jaime King.
All eight episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, April 11.
A prequel set in the Z Nation universe, a mother (King) torn from her daughter embarks upon a harrowing journey, stopping at nothing to find her. Thrust alongside a small group of American refugees, she must brave a hostile new world and make brutal decisions during the most deadly summer of a zombie apocalypse.
The cast also features Justin Chu Cary, Kelsey Flower, Christine Lee, Mustafa Alabssi, Erika Hau, Sal Velez Jr., Edsson Morales and Gwynyth Walsh.
Karl Schaefer and John Hyams created the drama. The Asylum produces.
