The CW's 'Arrow' to End After 8 Seasons

After previously being renewed for an eighth season, The CW has announced today that it will also be the final season for original drama series Arrow. Moreover, the season will have a short episode order of 10 episodes.

"This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we've made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of Arrow in mind," said executive producers Beth Schwartz, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. "We're heartened by the fact that Arrow has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come. We're excited about crafting a conclusion that honors the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and - more importantly, the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years."

The drama stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, Colton Haynes, Sea Shimooka, Kirk Acevedo and Katie Cassidy Rodgers.

Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim developed the drama based on the DC Comics character. They executive produce with showrunner Beth Schwartz and Sarah Schechter. Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Productions and DC Entertainment produce.
