Netflix Announces Premiere Date for Animated Comedy 'Tuca & Bertie' Starring Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong

Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original animated comedy series Tuca & Bertie starring Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong.

All 10 episodes of the first season will be released on Friday, May 3.

The comedy centers on the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca (Haddish), a cocky and care-free toucan, and Bertie (Wong), an anxious and daydreaming songbird.

The Walking Dead and Burning's Steven Yeun also stars as Bertie's live-in boyfriend.

Guest voices in the first season will include Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler and Tessa Thompson.

Lisa Hanawalt created the comedy. She executive produces with Haddish, Wong, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen.
