Netflix Sets Premiere Date for 'Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City' Starring Laura Linney and Ellen Page

Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original limited series Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City starring Laura Linney and Ellen Page.






All 10 episodes will be released on Friday, June 7.

Mary Ann (Linney) returns to present-day San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter Shawna (Page) and ex-husband Brian, 20 years after leaving them behind to pursue her career. Fleeing the midlife crisis that her picture-perfect Connecticut life created, Mary Ann quickly is drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal, her chosen family and a new generation of queer young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane.

The cast also features Olympia Dukakis, Barbara Garrick, Paul Gross, Murray Bartlett, Charlie Barnett, Josiah Victoria Garcia, May Hong, Jen Richards, Daniela Vega, Michelle Buteau, Ashley Park, Christopher Larkin, Caldwell Tidicue, Matthew Risch, Michael Park, Dickie Hearts, Benjamin Thys, Samantha Soule, Juan Castano, Zosia Mamet, Victor Garber and Molly Ringwald.

Lauren Morelli developed the series. She executive produces with Linney, Armistead Maupin, Andrew Stearn, Liza Chasin, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and director Alan Poul. NBCUniversal International Studios and Working Title Television produce.
