Hulu has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming limited series revival of the hit drama Veronica Mars starring Kristen Bell.
All eight episodes will be available on Friday, July 26.
In the new season, spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town's lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son's killer, Veronica Mars (Bell) is drawn into an epic mystery that pits the enclave's wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast's answer to Daytona Beach.
In addition to Bell, actors reprising their roles from the original series include Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Percy Daggs II, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, Max Greenfield and Ryan Devlin.
Newcomers for the revival include Patton Oswalt, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Dawnn Lewis, Clifton Collins Jr., Izabela Vidovic, Tyler Alvarez, Mary McDonnell and J.K. Simmons.
Original series creator Rob Thomas wrote the new season. He executive produces with Bell, Diane Ruggiero-Wright and Dan Etheridge. Warner Bros. Television and Spondoolie Productions produce.
