'Younger' to Remain on TV Land for Season 6; Lily Collins to Star in Paramount's 'Emily in Paris'

The upcoming sixth season of the original comedy series Younger will air on TV Land instead of making the transition to Paramount Network as was previously announced. The reversal of the plan means TV Land will stay in the scripted originals business for a little bit longer.

After hitting its best ratings ever for its fifth season in Summer 2018, Younger will be the only original scripted series currently airing on TV Land. The network aired Teachers earlier this year but wrapped its run after three seasons.

Meanwhile, the new half-hour dramedy Emily in Paris from Younger series creator Darren Star will remain at Paramount as was previously announced. Moreover, Lily Collins (To the Bone) has been tapped to play the lead role. She will play Emily, a driven young woman from the Midwest who moves to Paris when an unexpected job opportunity arises.

Production on Emily in Paris has been delayed slightly though and will no longer meet its original airdate plans for Summer 2019. Now, it is expected to debut on Paramount in early 2020.
