USA Announces Premiere Dates for 'Suits' and 'Pearson'

USA has today announced the premiere dates for the upcoming final season of the original drama series Suits and its new spinoff Pearson starring Gina Torres.

Both dramas will premiere on Wednesday, July 17 - with the ninth and final season of Suits at 9/8c. and the series debut of Pearson at 10/9c.

The final season of Suits follows Harvey and Donna balance their relationship with work, as they fight to salvage the firm's tarnished reputation alongside their partners, Louis Litt, Alex Williams, Katrina Bennett and Samantha Wheeler. As the season progresses, the characters' personal lives will be explored more deeply than ever before, setting up the series conclusion, in which everyone will finally be forced to decide exactly who they are and what kind of lawyers they want to be.

The drama stars Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Amanda Schull, Dulé Hill and Katherine Heigl.

Aaron Korsh created the drama. He executive produces with Doug Liman, David Bartis, Gene Klein, Genevieve Sparling, Ethan Drogin and Christopher Misiano. Universal Content Productions, Hypnotic Films and Untitled Korsh Company produce.

Pearson follows recently disbarred NYC powerhouse lawyer Jessica Pearson (Torres) as she adjusts to down-and-dirty Chicago politics. Newly appointed as the mayor's right-hand fixer, she quickly is embroiled in a crooked and dangerous new world where every action has far-reaching consequences. With her compulsion to win, Jessica is forced to reconcile her unstoppable drive with her desire to do the right thing - two things very much at odds.

The drama also stars Morgan Spector, Bethany Joy Lenz, Simon Kassianides, Eli Goree, Isabel Arraize and Chantel Riley.

Korsh also created the drama, with Daniel Arkin serving as showrunner for the first season. They executive produce with Doug Liman, David Bartis, Gene Klein, Kevin Bray and Chris Downey. Universal Content Productions, Hypnotic Films and Untitled Korsh Company produce.
