Casting News - Ana Ortiz Joins 'Love, Simon' Series Continuation; Laura Haddock to Star in 'White Lines'; Plus 1 More Update!

Disney+'s Love, Simon; Netflix's White Lines; and Spectrum's Manhunt: Lone Wolf.





NETFLIX's WHITE LINES
  • Laura Haddock, Marta Milans, Juan Diego Botto, Nuno Lopes, Daniel Mays, Laurence Fox and Angela Griffin will star in the upcoming drama created by Alex Pina. Haddock starred for three seasons in Starz's Da Vinci's Demons. Milans appeared in the film Shazam. Botto starred for two seasons in TNT's Good Behavior. Lopes starred in the Portuguese drama Sara. Mays appeared in the Amazon limited series Good Omens. Fox starred in the third season of PBS' Victoria. Griffin previously recurred on Netflix's Turn Up Charlie.
  • The drama follows a woman (Haddock) investigating the death of her brother, a legendary DJ from Manchester, whose body turns up 20 years after he disappeared in Ibiza. The search will take her into the island's disco scene, where she must confront her own dark side in a place where people live life to its limits.
  • No details were immediately released about the characters played by Milans, Botto, Lopes, Mays, Fox and Griffin.
DISNEY+'s LOVE, SIMON
  • Ana Ortiz has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming drama set in the same world as the 2018 film of the same name. She previously starred for four seasons in ABC's Ugly Betty, four seasons in Lifetime's Devious Maids and one season in ABC's Whiskey Cavalier.
  • She will play Isabel, Victor's mother.
SPECTRUM's MANHUNT: LONE WOLF
  • Arliss Howard, Desmond Harrington, Kelly Jenrette and Ness Bautista will co-star on the anthology series' upcoming second installment. Howard previously starred for one season in AMC's Rubicon and one season in HBO's True Blood. Harrington starred for six seasons in Showtime's Dexter. Jenrette earned an Emmy nomination for her guest appearance on Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. Bautista recurred for two seasons in Netflix's Sense8.
  • Howard will play Earl Embry, the top bomb expert in the ATF who has a depth of hands-on knowledge that nobody can rival. He is determined to catch the Olympic bomber, despite the best efforts of the FBI to chase him off the case.
  • Harrington will play Louis Freeh, the hard-charging head of the FBI who steered the Bureau through turbulent political waters with a combination of toughness, media savvy and iron-fisted loyalty.
  • Jenrette will play Stacey Knox, an FBI Supervisory Special Agent and Jack Brennan's (Gethin Anthony) partner, who is second in command of the FBI team sent to take point in the Atlanta bombing.
  • Bautista will play Joe Holliwell, Embry's partner and an ATF lab rat with a PhD in Chemistry who soaks up Embry's hard-earned wisdom.
