USA's TREADSTONE
- Michelle Forbes, Patrick Fugit, Michael Gaston, Tess Haubrich and Shruti Haasan have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Jeremy Irvine and Brian J. Smith. Forbes recently starred for three seasons in Epix's Berlin Station. Fugit starred for two seasons in Cinemax's Outcast. Gaston currently recurs on Amazon's The Man in the High Castle and CBS All Access' Strange Angel. Haubrich appeared in the Australian series Wolf Creek and Pine Gap. Haasan has starred in the Bollywood films Srimanthudu and Katamarayudu.
- Forbes will play Ellen Becker, a savvy CIA veteran trying to balance the demands of work and family while investigating a conspiracy with international implications.
- Fugit will play Stephen Haynes, a high school math teacher with a dark side that he's struggling to keep under control.
- Gaston will play Dan Levine, a no-nonsense senior CIA veteran overseeing an investigation that involves some of the agency's darkest secrets.
- Haubrich will play Samantha, a nurse who must reconcile her husband Doug's (Smith) dark past.
- Haasan will play Nira Patel, a young woman in Delhi whose waitress job serves as a cover for a dangerous double life as a trained assassin.
HBO's AVENUE 5
- Himesh Patel has been cast on the upcoming comedy starring Hugh Laurie. He currently plays the lead role in the Danny Boyle film Yesterday.
- He will play Jordan Hatwal, a young stand-up who is just starting out. When he's offered an eight week-long residency on Judd Galaxy's inaugural luxury cruise around Saturn he jumps at the chance to declare himself, "The Funniest Man in the Universe." Unfortunately for him, comedy clubs in space famously have no atmosphere. And he doesn't quite have enough material to last the journey. And his fragile self-confidence means it might not be long before he's heckling himself. He's had a few bad gigs in his time, but nothing that could possibly prepare him for this.
NBC's THIS IS US
- Jennifer Morrison has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth season. She previously starred for six seasons in FOX's House and six seasons in ABC's Once Upon a Time. She also had a recurring role on CBS' How I Met Your Mother and recently toplined the CBS drama pilot Under the Bridge (which did not earn a series pickup this spring).
- No details were immediately released about the character she will be playing.
